Processing of journalists' personal data

Finanstilsynet processes the personal data of all journalists it is in contact with. These personal data are the journalist’s name and contact information, affiliation with the editorial office and any questions and answers exchanged by email and phone.
Personal data are stored in conjunction with the case. If a journalist has been in contact with us in connection with multiple cases, the data will be logged for each case.
The legal basis for processing journalists' personal data is legitimate interest, cf. Article 6 of the GDPR. It is necessary for Finanstilsynet to process journalists' personal data to carry out tasks in the public interest.
